Rock on to Kate. Opened the paper this morning and said "hey, that looks like Kate!" To which Paige said "that's 'cause it is..."

I was amused by Paynter's twisting of the truth in her line about "Immediately Hunt recognized what Moe and her husband, John, were only just grasping themselves..." Hadn't you guys been "grasping" the dwarfism issue for about 3 months when she was born? Still, that wouldn't have made as dramatic a story...

What a beauty that Kate is. I'm so glad you linked us to that.

Well, we got the diagnosis 6 weeks out from birth. But the grasping was still being attempted. Still trying to grasp it to some degree.

Thanks for sharing this story, John. I have a hard time thinking of any of us as adults now, but to see you, Tina, Scott and others living your lives, continuing to make people laugh and smile makes me feel lucky to have known you all back then. Granted, I was a penis to most of you most of the time, and I quickly wore-out my welcome with the Harper Joy crowd (and other crowds, come to think), but I still miss those salad days and appreciate that you, Tina and others invite the rest of us to know what's happened and is happening to you and yours over the years, and how you live and love in the world. I like best reading about your kids and the things they say. They are mighty ministers of good sense and good faith in a nutty world. Good luck to you as your book goes to press. You mentioned that you now have an ISBN number. You'll also have an authority record in the Library of Congress catalog. You've arrived, John Moe. Make yourself at home. (How was that New Year's Eve show?)

Ah...yeah, I suppose that would still take some grasping. At least with Logan's TEF we didn't have any notice but got to listen to all the far worse things it could have been and as a result the final outcome was pretty mellow.

Oh, and I'll second Tina's "beauty" comment, in case it ever needs to come up for a vote...

Yay Kate!

I love that the image attribution is "Moe Family Photo," like you guy own and operate a one-hour photomat in the parking lot of Fry's Electronics somewhere.
