Welcome Global Visitors!

I put up this weird little mappy thingy underneath Kevin Duckworth over there and it confounds me every day. Someone visited from Iceland? From Indonesia? From, I think, the United Arab Emirates? I suppose it shouldn't shock me given how worldy the world is but I can't imagine a lazily maintained blog based mostly on my weird children had such a reach. Anyhow, welcome! Looks like I'm still awaiting my first Dakota or Wyoming friend. And South America and Africa continue to blow me off.

Yes, well, I ripped off your weird little mappy thing about a week ago and I have quite a midwest following. Unfortunately, I don't know my states very well and the only thing I know is that my following resides "somewhere in the middle."

Map thingy rules. We'll have to steal it for the band site so we can see that it's basically me and Joe looking at it...

First, I offer general concurrence that the "weird little mappy thingy" does indeed rule (though I must admit that the first time I clicked on it I was really aiming to aid the defense of Duckworth). Second, I don't mean to diminish the promise of your having a broad fan base in predominantly Muslim nations, but I'm an American living in Singapore and I must have racked up a couple of the 10-99 hits from that Indonesia-ish circle. And for the record, I found my way here via McSwys; please continue the good work, however lazily maintained it may be....

My wife and I are represented by the medium sized red dot over Houston, TX. Funny thing: that's what the smog really looks like.

mappy thing is awesome. that dot in southern california is san diego. It should be up to 100 by the end of the year. I heard you on "All Things Considered". The high, low, and middle brow discussion. Is there a site where I can here that again? Rick
