A Conversation With Charlie (Age 6) About Six

We're in the car listening, as always, to Movin' 92.5 and the song "Let's Talk About Sex" by Salt-n-Pepa comes on.
HIM: Turn it up! I love this song!
JILL: (worried look)
ME: (singing along) Let's talk about six, baby, let's talk about you and me.
HIM: What are they saying?
JILL: They're talking about six. All the good things and the bad things that can be.
ME: Having to go to school all day but also learning to swim.
JILL: (singing) Let's talk ABOUT six, let's talk about six!
ME: So no wonder you like this song.
HIM: Yeah!

And THAT is some serious bad-ass parenting, y'all!

Nice. That's right up there with the McKinstries teaching their girls that the chorus to "Tubthumping" went "KISSING the night away..."

Awesome parenting skills! If I got a dime for every time we had to say "It's a ______ but some people say that instead of penis." to our 10-year old I'd have about $1.50 by now.

A of all, unbelievable save.

B of all, it was a good moment not to be New Zealanders.

And C is for camel, I will be using that forever in regards to Finn and the word "sex". Six. Six. It's all six they're talking about, buddy. This country is totally six-crazy. It's really something. Hahaha. Ha. Hew.

My son Ben listening to Corb Lund's "All I Want to Do Is Play Cards," sings, "All I want to do is play with cars."
